“For I was hungry and you gave me to eat; I was thirsty and you gave me to drink; I was a stranger and you took me in”
Each week, a small group of dedicated parishioners put these words of Jesus into practice through their service in our COMMUNITY MEAL MINISTRY.
On Wednesdays, for the last year and a half, from 4:00 until 5:00 in our gym, this wonderful ministry offer meals to the hungry of our community. About 25-40 people depend on this ministry for a small dinner. The food is donated by ministry members as well as from other individuals. On last week’s menu were hot dogs, and past meals included chicken, chili, meat loaf, pizza and sloppyjoes.
If you would like to lend a hand, just come to the gym around 3:30 on Wednesday and let us know you’re ready to help. Cash donations to support the Community Meal can be made through the rectory. If you’re willing to donate food, please call the rectory and we’ll put you in touch with the workers to better coordinate the availability and variety of food.
Please join us in thanking the COMMUNITY MEAL MINISTRY for the generous gift of their time and talents to those in need.
